Matthew (5)
1. Matthew was born with a head full of hair. The nurse said he looked like a rock star. She called him Bon Jovi.
2. When Matthew was around 9months he gave up the binky for his fingers. He sucks his middle and ring finger together. That is a habit we are still trying to break. I wish he had stuck to the binky, then we could take it away.
3. He says he wants to be a builder when he grows up. You don't know how many conversations we've had about building and fixing things. He has lost or misplaced many of his dads tools trying to "build" things. In October he and his grandpa Moore built a fort together with some scape wood we had laying around. Here is a picture of them before they started. They are both wearing home depot aprons my dad got for them. Matthew felt so cool!

4. Matthew tries to be a big helper and teacher to his little brother. The other day I overheard him trying to teach Kaleb the 1st article of faith. They were in their beds, obviously not sleeping, and I heard Matthew saying, "Kaleb, say, we believe...". It was cute.
5. Matthew has the cutest smile around. When he is smiling his genuine smile it just lights up his face. His eyes crinkle up, I just love that about him.
KALEB(2 1/2)
1. Kaleb was also born with a head full of hair. He had to be on a special hypo-allergenic formula because he had a milk protein allergy. Thankfully he outgrew by the time he was 1year old.
2. Kaleb loves to read books. Sometimes I will find him in his room, laying on his belly, looking at his books.
3. Kaleb loves to sing. He will just break into songs at random times. His favorites are a veggie tales song, Book of Mormon stories, I am a Child of God, Star Wars theme song and Frosty the Snowman.
4. Kaleb loves to follow his brother around and try to be a big boy like him. He will try anything Matthew does. He is not near as cautious as Matthew was at his age.
5. Kaleb loves water. There is a community pool by our home that has a really cool kid pool. Kaleb would just jump right under the water and I would have to pull him out. He would just sit there with no sign of distress. When I'd pull him out he would do it again. I had to watch him like a hawk.
Well that's five for each. Now I tag Katie and Rebecca.

Love it!!! It is so awesome to get to know your cute little family through the blog world. I still picture us as roommates dancing around the living room or making up a pan of brownies. Where has the time gone?
Rachelle,
I didn't know you had a blog! Well, I guess you haven't had it for that long so I'm not too far behind... Anyway, this is your cousin Rachel, and I saw the link to your blog on Katie's. Your boys are so big! The last time I saw you was at that family reunion when Matthew was still a baby. How time flies. Feel free to check out our blog at b-bog.blogspot.com.
I'm always a bit envious of the time you get to spend with Katie and Peter's families. It must be fun to live near family. Actually, Jeremy and I are moving to Coeur d'Alene in the fall for a year or two, so I guess we'll be closer to family as well! Anyway, I'm glad to catch up a little. Hope all is well.
Love,
Rachel
wLoved the picture of Matthew with your Dad!
Rachel, I don't know if you'll check this again anytime soon, but just curious if you've had a chance to check out the David Tew family blog?
Ok, Rachelle, Katie, and Rachel, don't feel like you can't leave comments every once in a while. You're still family!
