General Conference

I know most of you who view my blog share my same faith and most likely watched general conference this weekend. Because of this I am sure you would indulge me in sharing some feelings I had the past few days. I feel grateful to have been able to be a part of this historic conference, in sustaining a new prophet. The Saturday morning conference was, of course, the solemn assembly. As my little family stood in our living room all raising our hands to the square, sustaining President Monson as Prophet I felt the spirit testify to me that this was true, he is a Prophet of God. In my mind I could imagine millions of people around the world, in church buildings and in their homes, simultaneously sustaining the Prophet.
As the conference continued I felt the spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of this church, the organization of it, and of the inspired messages that were shared. How grateful I am for the Holy Ghost. I feel so blessed to be a member of this church and have this opportunity to listen to the prophet and apostles share their inspired messages with us. It brings such hope and a new found resolve to better myself. It provides so many tools to help me as a mother, wife and human being. I can't say enough as to how grateful I am! I am sure many of you reading share the same feelings. We are truly blessed to know that the heavens are open and that Heavenly Father speaks to us today through his prophet and apostles.
