The World Special Olympics was here in Boise this past week. It's been cool to see althletes from all over the world around Boise. There has been media from everywhere around the world except the USA. Sadly, the only media in the country covering this is our local news stations. Even some of the journalist here from around the world are puzzeled as to why the National media isn't covering this. I am sure there are some great stories from these altheletes.
Some of the other countries here are doing special documentaries about the games and the altheletes from their countries.
With all the glum national news this story would have been a great uplift to the people in our nation. It's too bad the media couldn't take a break from the gloomy economical and political news to focus on a story of hope and perserverance.
Anyways, I'll get off my soapbox now. The pictures are ones we got last night when went down town to see some of the althletes at the different venues. Most of the events were ending but we were able to get a picture with some of the altheletes from the US team. The were so excited to be here.

Ditto!!!!!!! Good for you, Rachelle. Good lesson for Kaleb and Matthew.
I have always wanted to take Weston and Wyatt to a special olympics..the opportunity never arrived. I am glad you were able to do that for your boys.
That's so great! I wish they would have covered in the media more. Sounds like a great time.
