First

Kaleb is in this “first” kick where he always wants to be first. He wants to be first in the house and into the car, pretty much everywhere. If he isn’t first he usually gets upset and throws a little fit. The funny thing is nobody is really competing with him, not even Matthew. I’ve tried to ignore it, hoping it will get old to him and he will stop. It can get a little annoying, mostly the part where he gets all upset if he doesn’t make it first.

Here is a recent funny example of this.

Matthew: Who was the baby first?

Me: What do you mean, who was born first?

Matthew: Yea.

Me: You where born first and Kaleb came 2 ½ years later.

Kaleb: But I want to be… I was going to be born first! (said with a pouty look and whinny tone.)

I guess he didn’t convey that message clear enough in heaven because, as much as Kaleb doesn’t like it, Matthew beat him on that one.
