Primary Teacher Meet and Greet

For the past few years we've had a teacher in-service/meet and greet after the new year, before they've started teaching their new classes.  We have the teachers come an hour before the kids and have an in-service with them.  We are basically trying to inspire them as teachers and let them know how important their callings are in the primary and how much we appreciate them.  When the kids arrive we have them sit with their new teachers and prepare for the red carpet fashion show/teacher spotlight.  Beforehand we've gathered up whatever dress up stuff we can find and let the classes go out into the hall with their new teacher and dress her up.  The class then comes back in and sits down to be apart of the runway audience.  The teachers walk in as our primary president introduces them and then spotlights them as they  walk down the "runway".  We've previously gotten info from each teacher with some fun facts and stories about them.  The kids think it is hilarious.  The teachers are always such good sports and ham it up....even the shy ones.  I just have to say I love being in primary!
