Moore Family Reunion 2013 (Picture Overload)

We just got back from an awesome reunion. We camped on the St. Joe river in Northern Idaho and took a day to ride the Hiawatha trail.  The Hiawatha trail was definitely the highlight of the trip.  At the beginning of the ride you go through a 1.6 mile, pitch black, humid tunnel.  It goes through the mountain. You need good headlamps, which we didn't have.  Ours were pretty dim except Tyson's so I basically rode on his tail.  The tunnel had water trickling down the sides and it was cool and very humid.  It smelled and felt like the Pirate of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.  Everything was so beautiful on the ride.
As you'll see I didn't get a ton of pics of Matt at the reunion.  He asked about that.  I told him he was never around. He was out having too much fun. He was always off in the kayak somewhere.  He could live on the water. On the Hiawatha trial he and Kaleb were way ahead of us with their older cousins and we stopped a lot to take pictures which put us toward the back of the spread out pack.  I didn't see them much on that ride except our stop for lunch and right outside of the tunnel at the beginning where we stopped to get pictures.  They had a GREAT time! :)  I love being able to spend time and catch up with my family.  Reunions are the only time I get to see some of my siblings.  I wish we lived closer!  We missed my brother Eric and his family this year.  I'm looking forward to next year!!

My dad and brother Ryan.

Hailey

Kaleb, Indie and Ellie

My sister-in-law  Diana was always playing with the kids.  She is a great mom and one of the favorite aunts I am sure.

Diana and Sawyer

Our reunion theme

Ellie and Sawyer.  My nieces seemed to always be holding a baby.  They called this the baby hammock.

Mom and Dad on the canoe.

Kellen hanging out by the water.

Some action shots of Kaleb and my nephew Weston. (See next 5 pictures.)

This is my dad's classic napping position.

Ryan, Diana and Shane

Whitney and Ryler catching a nap.  It was at sunset, hence the beautiful lighting.

My nieces having fun on a rope my brother set up.

Sadly they all decided to lean back together, since the rope usually holds, and this is what happens.  My brothers knot didn't hold.  I'll have to give him a hard time since he's a rock climber and you would expect perfect knots from him! ;)  There were many tears and sore backs but the girls laughed at the pictures later.

Taking a break outside the first tunnel at the beginning to get some pictures.

Me, Marisha, Kristina(sisters) and Weston.

The ride started our with light rain as you can see by fog hanging over the mountains.  Luckily it started to clear up partway through.

Beautiful views!  The pictures don't do it justice.  It was like looking out on top of the world.
Looking down from the bridge to the top of the trees below.  A long way down.  I could barley stand on that wood you see since I'm afraid of heights.  I was on and off pretty quick.

All of my family minus my brother Eric, Laurie and their 4 kids.

One of the many bridges we rode over.  They were awesome!

The shuttle taking us back to the first tunnel we went through.  We had to ride back through the 1.6 mile tunnel to get back to our cars at the trailhead.

Hannah and Kellen

I was trying to get Kaleb's headlamp to stay on so he could see where he was going in the tunnel.  It is pitch dark and you need a good headlamp.  Ours stunk.....way to small!

Some of the family coming our of the tunnel at the end of the ride.

Tired after the long ride.

He did so good being in his car seat for an hour and a half after having been strapped in a bike trailer for 15 miles.

On the way back to camp from the bike ride.

At the end of the ride.
