My husband has braces! It is a very needed thing. His teeth have really started to affect his eating, talking, everything. His jaw will really appreciate the adjustment.
We both laugh about it because when you think of braces you think of that awkward adolescent stage.
My husband is a 34 year old sporting them. :) I honestly barely notice them. They've come a long way since I was young. He only has them on top and will get the bottom in 6 months.
He was nice enough to let me take a picture. You have to document something big like this right? Kind of a creepy close up but I wanted before pictures to compare. Also, the colors you see are not food. They are part of the braces. I'm not sure what their purpose is but I'm guessing there is something.
This could be life changing...really it will be for him. No more having to concentrate on how he places his jaw when he eats and talks. It's really a good thing we are grateful for. :)

Looks good man. I can't wait to mock him in real life.
Who is his Orthodontist, and does he like him? (or her)? I've got a line-up of people in our family who will need them, myself included. I have just been waiting for the right moment to strike. Sammi will start in the summer, and I may look into it at the same time. You do what ya gotta do, when you gotta do it, right? It will be so nice for him. Teeth can be such a bother sometimes! Just make sure he wears his retainer afterwards like forever! I had braces when I was 12 and my teeth moved back! Aargh! I hope this is life changing for him!
