Quotes

I love finding quotes on Pinterest.  There are so, so many good ones. The first quote is something I have been living the past year.  Sometimes it feels good to talk and vent but sometimes it can get to a point where it can be unhealthy.  Going to the Lord in prayer is by far one of the most important and necessary things that we need to do.

I liked this second quote because that is where I want to be.  I love to make beautiful things through various mediums.  Many times because it just feels good.  However, there is that part of me that loves to hear some kind of praise, "Good Job!" or "That's beautiful!"  Who doesn't right?  That is just a natural feeling we all have and it's not wrong to feel that way.  It's good to hear some praise and validation. However, if our sense of self and importance is based on what others say then it's not a good thing.  I would love to be in a place where I feel good about myself and the things I do because those feelings  come from within.  Heavenly Father has placed those feelings there, sometimes they just get buried.  We need to find them.  

I want to make beautiful things because I love to create and in the third quote by President Uchtdorf we are reminded of why....we are the spirit daughters of the most creative Being in the universe!  It is genetic, our ability and desire to create in a million different capacities.
