Mattress Update

I had a post a while ago where I gave Tyson an ultimatum, "It's me or your precious mattress topper."  Well he chose the mattress topper for the sake of his back and I had to take a back seat. ;)
Recently and finally we bought a king size mattress topper.  I was so, so happy.  I loved that the bed looked nice and even.  I loved that Tyson and I were on the same level and I could cuddle up to him when I wanted to without this silly obstacle.
For about a week I was feeling blissful sleeping on this heavenly pillow.  It was memory foam and it was soft.  I liked to think it was soft yet supportive.  Tyson would disagree. For a week he quietly dealt with a sore back while I was thoroughly enjoying our new bed.  Finally, he said that sadly the topper had to go back to the store...it was too soft.  What?!  I kind of feel like I'm in the story of Goldilocks and the Three bears. It's to soft of two hard.  When will it be just right?
I love my husband and don't want him in constant pain so I relented.  I live for the hope that there will be a new topper in our future.  It won't by like my heavenly pillow but it will get Tyson and I sleeping together again...someday!  ;)

I can really empathize with both you, and Tyson. We ditched our bunk, and it has been nice being next to Charles again. Having suffered from back pain, I feel bad for Tyson! The only relief I find comes from daily core/back exercises. (I have been lame at that for awhile, but I have started again recently.) For someone as tall as he is, I am no doctor, but I think it is pretty crucial to a healthy back. (My brothers/men in my family are tall, and have had back issues, two of my bros have had lower back surgery!) It also really helps to have your back rubbed really hard, at the source of pain. I hope he can find some relief from his suffering. Is is truly no fun! He should try yoga . . . anything to loosen the tension/strengthen those muscles! I think a lot of the pain comes from sitting in an office chair for so long. Ugh. Hope he can get better soon!
