North Idaho Vacation

The boys and I spent the past week in Hayden, Id with my sisters and their kids.  We were there for my nephew Weston's farewell.  He is the oldest grandchild and the first to serve a mission.  We are so excited for him!  He will be awesome as a missionary. 

We decided to spend the week there before the farewell.  Tyson flew in that weekend and drove back with us. 

It was a fun, busy week.  We went to Silverwood, a theme park in the area.  That was probably the highlight.  It was so much fun.  All the kids had an awesome time.  We were there for 10 hours.  It was fun but I think I was a little dehydrated by the end of the day.

We went to the lake several times.  Every time Tyson and I go there we wonder if we'll get the itch to move back.  So far we haven't.  We love it there, it is breathtakingly beautiful, but so far we feel good in Boise but always love to visit the old stomping grounds. 

While we were there my sister was invited to a friends house to play on their HUGE slip n' slide.  They have a large backyard with a hill and they make this slip n' slide every year.  We tagged along.  Initially I didn't have my swim suit and neither did my sisters.  Once we saw the slide and all the fun the kids were having my sister Kristina and I ran back to her house to grab our suits. We didn't want to miss out on the fun.

Later in the week my sisters, mom and I went out.  We had dinner and then a movie.  We saw, "The Fault In Our Stars."  I knew that could be dangerous for me since the passing of our friend but thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal.  I was wrong.  I could barley hold it together much of the time.  There was a point were I was ugly crying and was trying so hard to keep it in.  That really hurt  I had a major headache and puffy eyes afterwards.  We went out the back exit because I was still crying quite a bit and a little embarrassed.  Seeing that movie wasn't the best choice.  It kind of tainted what could have been a really fun girls night.

We spent the rest of the time just hanging out at my sisters.  She lives tucked back in the forest surrounded by pine trees.  It is beautiful and smells so good. There backyard has a lot of fun things for the kids to do.  It was so nice and peaceful to sit back there in the shade while we chatted. 

It was a our main summer trip and we had a blast.  Thanks Kris for having us all there! :)

 Tyson has jumped off these cliffs since he was a kid.  That is his favorite thing to do when we go back to Coeur d' Alene.

Matt saved a lot of lawn mowing money to get this kayak.  I was really pleased with his self discipline.
