Kaleb's 6th Birthday

Happy 6th Birthday Kaleb!!!

For those who are familiar with Pokemon you might recognize Pikachu. I was happy with my results, especially since I'm not too artistic.

This is a little late. I'm behind in my blogging and Tyson is always telling me I need to blog this or that. So here are some pictures from Kaleb's birthday. He turned 6 on August 26th. Our birthday parties are usually pretty low key so there aren't a ton of pics. Kaleb enjoyed his birthday and we enjoy celebrating having him in our lives. We are so blessed to have Kaleb in our family. He is a sweet guy who thinks a lot about others. Here is a great example of that I would like to remember. About a month ago we had to go to the ER because Kaleb had an allergic reaction to some medication. When we were first taken back to the ER they didn't have any rooms available so we had to sit on a bed in the hall. At the end of the hall were some double doors. As we sat and waited we heard a commotion coming our way. It was a gurney being pushed toward the double doors and they were in a hurry. The gurney was surrounded by about 6 different people looking pretty serious. As they rushed by and out the double doors I could see the patient and they didn't look to good. They had a huge gash on their head. I assumed they were in an accident of some sort. I think they were being taken into emergency surgery. Kaleb was laying down at the time so I was hoping he didn't see. Well, he did and he started asking questions. I could tell it bothered him. A few nights later during our family prayer Kaleb prayed for that person, without prompting. I was surprised that he was thinking of that still. It taught me a great lesson. Sadly I hadn't thought about praying for that person on my own. I learned a great lesson from Kaleb that night. Even now, more than a month later, Kaleb continues to pray for that person and their family. It makes my heart happy to hear it.

Kaleb loved all his gifts....of course!

Tyson and the boys on their way to Roaring Springs water park for Kaleb's birthday. That was one of his birthday wishes. In the 8 total years we've been living here we've never been. Our boys talked about going every time we'd pass the park. Ian and I stayed home so the big boys could run from ride to ride, unrestrained. They had a blast!!!

Kaleb @ 6 years old

1. Kaleb is in the 1st grade and loving it. His favorite part is lunch and recess. Would you expect anything different of a 1st grader?!
2. He is a great big brother to Ian. He is always helpful and plays with him. Sometimes he sings to him at night when they go to bed.
3. Speaking of singing you can always find him singing something. Last Sunday we had our 1st primary program practice in the chapel. I really think Kaleb was one of the loudest singers...almost too loud. :) He looked like he was all business with his eyebrows furrowed and his mouth wide open.
4. His favorite toy is his bey-blades and Pokemon. He also loves to ride his bike and his scooter. He is always trying to do some kind of trick with his bike like riding with one arm behind his back or putting his feet up on the bar after he's reached some momentum.
5. Kaleb likes to do everything his big brother Matt is doing. He goes with him to cub scouts every week. He just runs around the cultural hall while his dad reads or chats with other parents who are sticking around waiting for their kids.
6. He is a social bug who loves to play with other kids and his brothers.
7. He also loves to play computer games. We definitely have to put a limit on that or else he would play all the time.
8. My favorite is that he is still a cuddle bug. He gives the best hugs and kisses at night before he goes to bed every night.
We love our Kaleb and are so grateful that he is ours!
