Family Pictures

The other day we went to a beautiful walking park in Boise and took some pictures to test out my new camera.  At first I just followed the boys around snapping pictures as they played and explored.  That is pretty easy and fun because you can just let them run around and do what they would normally do.  You can get a lot of great candid shots that show their personality.  Having them sit down for a group shot was another story  Any parents of little kids knows how that can be....a little stressful.
The camera, honestly with no help from me, takes great pictures.  I'm hoping to get photoshop and learn more about photography so I can do some cool things with the pictures I take.  It is a lot of fun!  I love how the camera captures things in the moment.  It is great for candid shots of my kids.  Here are some of the many pictures I took.
In this picture Matt was at the top of a pretty big rock.  It was definitely taller than me.  He loves to climb anything....rocks, trees, the house even! (The house is totally against the rules by the way, but he tries.)

Kaleb, also on top of the big rocks.

Ian....such a cute boy!

I love this picture of Tyson and Kellen.  Tyson would prefer I cropped him out but that is what makes the picture so sweet.

The boys ran around collecting goose feathers.  There was poop everywhere and I didn't even want to think about the germs on those feathers.  I just had to shut those thoughts out of my mind so they could run around and be boys.  We had to give all our shoes a good hose down when we got back home.

Ian showing me the big leaf he pulled off a plant.  This is one of my favorite pictures.  :)  Some may not agree since the leaf is in front of his face but I love it!  I love how his face is in focus and the leaf and the grass behind him are not.  I think you look at this picture and can see that he was showing me me the leaf without me having to say.

Look at all those boys! :)

All the boys, including Daddy.  As you can see, Kellen had enough by that point.

Trying to gather them all up for pictures.   This picture can look deceiving.  I look like I'm lovingly helping Ian down but really I'm trying to pull him over to me while probably threatening or bribing my other boys to come stand by me so we can take a  picture.  It's a lot of work trying to take pictures with 4 young boys.

The final product.  Me and my boys.
