Spring Sprint

Matt informed us a while back that he wanted to participate in the YMCA'a Spring Sprint triathlon.  At first I was a little worried wondering if we'd have enough time to prepare.  Well, he ran, biked and swam to get in shape and he did it!!  He loved the experience and wants to do more.  He did a 200 meter swim, 5 mile bike ride, and a 1 mile run in just under 39 minutes.  Pretty darn good!!  We are very proud of him. :)

In the middle of his swim.

Finishing!

Getting his bike in place.  He was anxious and excited.

Waiting to start with the other racers.

Just finished up the bike leg and about to transition into the run.

Heading the the finish!!

The Triathlete

His loyal fans.  His grandparents, aunt and uncle were there to cheer him on too. :)

Whooo! That is the coolest thing ever! A triathalon (or anything like that) would be the last thing on my mind at his age. You must be one proud mama! :D
And Dustin says he's got a sweet bike ;)
