Sleeping Arrangements

My husband and I share a king size bed.  I love it because we have plenty of room to spread out without bothering each other but we can cuddle if we want too.  We both like to go to sleep with our own space not in each others arms.  The image of sleeping cuddled together is a romantic one right? ;)  However, in reality, I get too hot and uncomfortable.

I will say though, there are times in the middle of the night were I'll scoot over and lay by Tyson because I just want to be near him.  Even if it's just our backs or arms touching, sometimes I just want to be physically near him.  I just like to feel his warmth or hear him breathing.

Well, I have a beef right now.  A while back we got a twin size, memory foam mattress topper from Tyson's brother.  Since Tyson's back bothers him sometimes he put it under the sheets on his side of the bed. The mattress is probably about 4 inches.  It may not seem like much but I feel like we might as well be on separate beds.  When I feel like being close I roll over towards Tyson and find myself cuddled up against the mattress topper instead.  I do not like it at all. :(  I've actually told Tyson that I hate it.  He seems so far away on a distant planet.  I know I like to sleep with some space but during those times I want to lay close to my husband that dang topper gets in the way.

Tyson, I know you'll read this post.  So, is it me or is it the mattress topper?  You must make a choice! I'll be waiting for an answer when you get home. ;)

LOL
Or it could be stated, do you want a good back or a good wife?
LOL
I wonder what his answer will be, tough decision considering the pain of a bad back but the love of a spouse.
LOL
This post cracks me up.
You realize if he chooses you, you'll have to make it worth his while right?

Melissa, I guess there is one other option that would be good for his back and me. We could get a king size mattress topper. Another dilemma for Tyson since spending money is sometimes painful for him.;)

Wish I could empathize here . . . I'm afraid I got you beat on this one. :-) You have not really tested your love until you sleep in bunk beds!

Mari, that is probably true. You and Charles are troopers for sure. If space was an issue I'd probably do a futon before a bunk bed. That way we are saving space by day but still together at night. Although it looks like you have some nice storage in that bunk bed..pretty snazzy. :)
