Team photographer

When Kaleb started soccer for the fall I got a call from his coach.  He told me that a friend told him I would be the teams photographer.   What?!  I asked him, "Did this friend have an accent?" ;)  I knew it must be my friend from New Zealand.  She is the only other parent I know on the team.  She must have more faith in my skills then I do or she really wants to save some money. ;) He wanted me to take action, team and individual pictures.  I guess we were forgoing the usual order and pay for pictures approach  which I didn't mind.  Who doesn't want to save a little money?

This was definitely out of my comfort zone but it never hurts to be pushed out of your comfort zone right?   People relying on me to perform in some way is always a little daunting. Hopefully the results will be good enough.  Here is a little peek into some of them.  Nothing too spectacular.  It doesn't look much different than the ones you pay for.  It's funny though how I notice things I should I have taken care of before I take the picture until after I'm done taking them.  I really need to work on getting the kids to smile.  I may have kids of my own but I'm not a natural with kids in general.  Having boys, all I know about making kids smile is to start using some potty words or fart jokes and I wasn't going to do that.  Oh well, it's a learning process.  I threw in some none soccer pictures I took during the game too.

Poor kid, he was pretty bored.

My friends little boy cheesing it up for the camera.

My friends little girl.  I love how the wind is blowing her little Cindy Loo Who hair.

Taking a rest on her mom's lap while she chats.

Man Masaru!!! Look at his face in all of those team shots. I'm going to show him these and then say "So what do you think?" LOL
Typical man.
I think the shots are great.
Thanks for doing them.

Nice pictures! Nice camera! I am glad you are using it, too many people get the fancy camera and forget about it. You should take pictures with it everyday! :-)
