Ian's Birthday

Last week Ian turned 5!  I can't believe he will be in kindergarten next year.
We love that boy! He is always saying hilarious things. He makes us laugh a lot. One of my favorite things about him is you can always find him singing to himself. He makes up a lot of his own songs. He'll pull me into a room by ourselves and sing me a song he's made up. He's a little to shy to sing it in front of everyone. He loves to cuddle with his dad and I and we love that. So grateful for that sweet boy in my life!
Ian had his first friend party this year.

He was so excited.  We kept it simple and the kids loved it.  Who doesn't love a party right?  They played games like musical chairs and Simon says.  Then they had cupcakes and watched a short Christmas movie.

Then, we had his family party that night.  It was a party all day long for him!  My favorite picture is of him laughing as he opens a gift.  It was from his grandparents and as he was opening it his grandpa said it's silk pajamas.  Ian found that so funny and cracked up over it.  It was cute. :)  We also make him an art table with a chalkboard top.  It was full of art supplies.  He loved that and has used it everyday since.

Covering his eyes while we brought in his art table.
