I sang in church today with a friend. We sang a duet of "What Child is This". I had to sing the soprano, which is a little out of my comfort zone, but I think I pulled it off. There are a few iffy high notes but I think I hit them well enough with out sounding shreeky....maybe.
I love to sing and am scared to death at the same time. Whenever I do it reminds me of the days of my youth singing with my good friend Marcee. She was an amazing soprano and I fit perfectly in my role as the supportive alto. Whenever there are parts of a song where I need to sing alone I feel totally naked! I can't wait to get back to the comfort of a second voice to blend with.
Blending voices....one of my favorite things. I love listening to solos but I have to say nothing gives me goosebumps like some good harmony.
I love music and love to share my love for that by singing, no matter how terrifying it can be.

You guys were awesome man.
You did so well Rachelle. It was so good.
Sorry you had to sing soprano, but the only other option was for me to sing it, and well, that is not really an option! Yikes! It went well. I was not even nervous once we got up there! I am glad it is over, though . . . as I always am when something like that is done! Thanks for singing with me. You know I am picky when it comes to that sort of thing. ;-)
