I posted this in the comment section of my friends Facebook post about losing her mind.
I think with each child you loss more brain cells or something because I have the same problem. Just today I was at Fred Meyer looking for some portable file boxes. A worker asked me if I needed help. I told him yes, that I was looking for those boxes with hanging things in them...very clear description right? I couldn't for the life of me think what they were called. He looked kind of puzzled and I apologized for not being able to remember what they were called. I tried to explain further by telling him it was like those things in an office were you roll out a drawer and it has those things hanging inside, I think I said the word things a lot to try and describe it. He said, "Oh, you mean a filing cabinet." Yes, the portable kind! That is exactly what I was thinking. Thank you!
I felt like such an idiot and it didn't help that there was a lady across the aisle watching the whole interchange. I looked at here with a smile hoping to receive a smile of understanding since we all have those days right? Instead she just stared. I don't know what her problem was. I was thinking don't judge me please. You can see I have two kids with me and what you don't know is that I have 2 more in school....4 kids lady! No explanation necessary right?

Hahahaha YES we ALL have those days.
I can just see you talking to that guy. I wonder why that lady was just staring? Weird.
I need to do some more brain exercises in my routine ;)
I have done the same things many times! dont worry about it, you are doing an amazing job
love you lady
So, I don't think we actually lose brain cells, but our brains become split into lots of different pieces and places with each child so it makes us feel scatterbrained! I am sure you think/worry about each child just as much as you do yourself (if not more so!) You're brain is just fine. It will have to expand in capacity with time too... then you get to worry about grandchildren and split your brain even more! Yea! :-)
I do not love taking little kids to the store. I am doing that very thing today. Eek!
